You might have seen your fair share of cooking shows in between the seemingly endless procession of commercials for alarm security systems, cars, phones and pretty much anything else you can think of, but have you ever seen a cooking show where they focused on recipes that didn’t involve gluten? For those of us who have to watch what we eat, it can be hard finding a decent gluten-free meal let alone dessert. Lucky for you, I have a dessert recipe that might just do the trick.
First you will need:
1 cup of water
6 lemon peels
4 orange peels
2 cups of white sugar
What you need to do:
1. First thing is first, cut up those peels into tiny little strips. Don’t mince them. Just try for half or a quarter inch.
2. Now boil these strips in water for about 20 minutes. Once you have done this, drain them and put them aside. We aren’t finished with those.
3. Now combine the 2 cups of sugar with the 1 cup of water and bring to boil. Keep it cooking until it reaches a thread state then let it simmer for 5 minutes.
4. Finally, take what remains of the sugar and roll the peels in them. Let them dry and then store them for later eating.
